Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, a Master’s degree in Computer Science, and a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of St.Gallen (HSG) and the London School of Economics (LSE). In his foundational research supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), he investigates digital platforms to publish in the proceedings of key international conferences and journals.
Besides his IUE-engagement, Michael is a determined technology-strategy consultant at Accenture—a consultancy and technology provider—with 5+ years of international work experience in strategy consulting and scientific research. He has a proven track record and end-to-end expertise in IT strategy, platform business models, and enterprise architecture, especially in the insurance, banking, and business-software industries.
Michael has a proven ability to structure complex problems and to initiate conceived solutions in executive-level, cross-functional teams. He is highly interested in digital technology and its impact on societies and businesses alike.
